The proven SAFEGUARD® surface is factory applied to a selection of base materials, depending on your needs.
These include stainless steel, galvanized steel, pultruded FRP/GRP composite (fiberglass) and vinyl (flexible PVC) sheeting.
Step Covers:
Most slips occur on the leading edge of the step, especially when the metal, wood or concrete surface becomes worn or rounded. Water, oil or dust on the step further accentuates the problem.
SAFEGUARD® Step Covers are designed to cover the leading edge, providing excellent traction in these adverse conditions.
Ladder Rung Covers:
Typical rungs on vertical ladders, especially those made from bar stock, are notorious for slip problems.

As darkness falls, or an emergency situation results in a power failure, SAFEGUARD® High glow Traction Covers provide an additional safety feature with a green-yellow glow created by an embedded inorganic photo luminescent pigment.
The pigment is non-toxic, non-radioactive, and can be recharged repeatedly, in as little as five minutes of exposure, during the life of the product.
Most importantly, the pigment used is UV stable so that the photo luminescent Covers can be installed in areas exposed to sunlight.
SAFEGUARD® HiGh glow Traction Covers are visible to the adjusted eye up to 20 hours after the light source has been removed. Various configurations are available, from partial to 100% photo luminescent, for Step, Walkway and Ladder Rung Covers, and designs can include directional markings for egress guidance systems.
