Electrical / Switchboard Matting

Mats, Inc. is a major distributor of dielectric, insulating, electrical switchboard matting. This type of matting must meet certain voltage standards to conform to OSHA & ASTM regulations for use near electrical machinery such as fuse boxes, control panels and other heavy electrical equipment, as used in oilfields, on offshore rigs & in manufacturing plants and facilities. Mats, Inc. can supply a Certificate of Conformance with any purchase of our electrical switchboard matting. Rubber & Vinyl Runners

Mats, Inc. offers a variety of rubber & vinyl runners. These runners are an assortment of industrial grade materials in different thicknesses and surface patterns. Some materials are used as aisle & hallway coverings to protect floors. Some plants mark hazardous areas using mats & runners with yellow safety borders. Our smooth runner matting is often used to cover industrial work tables in manufacturing facilities. Some matting is formulated to be especially resistant to grease, oils & chemicals and work well in oily or chemical environments. Our commercial neoprene rubber can be fabricated to desired size & quantity for use in the manufacture of machine parts. Industrial Anti-Fatigue Mats

Industrial manufacturing users & distributors often purchase thick, heavy-duty, anti-fatigue mats & runners for placement behind machines & work tables. Some mats have built-in connectors and can be assembled to cover large areas. Some of our mats have holes for drainage, while other anti-fatigue mats have a solid surface. Mats, Inc. also has anti-fatigue mats for welding stations, as well as anti-fatigue mats with beveled edges and / or yellow / orange safety striped edges.


Absorbent Mats

Mats, Inc. can provide oil trap mats. These mats are available in sets. The set includes 1 rubber tray and 12 disposable mats. Oil trap mats are used in industrial, oily environments to absorb oil spills & leakage. Disposable mats are replaced as needed.


Anti-Slip Tapes & Coating

These products are typically used in slippery areas to deter slips & falls. Mats, Inc. offers abrasive, anti-slip, self-adhesive tapes or slip resistant coating that can be painted on problem surfaces. Conformable tapes are designed to conform to uneven surfaces, such as a metal diamond design, as seen on marine vessels.


Flexible Steel Mats

Mats, Inc. stocks flexible steel mats in a variety of sizes for use in industrial manufacturing environments. These heavy-duty industrial mats are great for scraping mud from shoes & boots.

Interior Mats & Runners

Mats, Inc. stocks a line of carpet-topped, vinyl-backed door mats & runners in a variety of sizes. These mats are typically used inside and are available in an array of colors, textures & grades. The most common & least expensive door mat used by industrial manufacturing customers would be our #0302 Rely-On Olefin Matting.


Exterior Mats & Runners

These mats are typically constructed of rubber or some type of plastic scraper material. The scraper surface efficiently removes mud & dirt from shoes & boots. Exterior mats are designed to drain & dry quickly. #266 Wayfarer Custom Mats are often used in the oily areas of a manufacturing plant. This mat is unbacked & allows petroleum products to drain through mats to help prevent slips & falls.


Cocoa Matting

Mats, Inc. consistently supplies industrial users with cocoa matting. Cocoa matting is derived from coconut husks. Its heavy duty fiber provides thorough shoe cleaning and absorption. Cocoa mats are frequently used on oil rigs and in manufacturing facilities due to their ability to absorb oil products.


Pool, Shower & Locker Room Matting

Offshore rigs, tanker facilities and industrial manufacturing plants may require anti-slip & drainage mats to control slips & falls in wet areas such as showers, locker rooms & living quarter areas.
